| As a true craftsperson, you will apply your diverse troubleshooting skills in a dynamic manufacturing plant environment. |
| Job Responsibilities |
| Perform machinery and equipment examinations to troubleshoot for defects/visual wear in operation. Note: some equipment contains PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and will require ladder logic analysis. Perform electrical and motor testing; fuse/continuity checks; voltage/resistance/current relationships. Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, various types of pipe layout, steel layout and welding). Perform routine Preventive Maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Follow company Safety Guiles, such as Lock out / Tag out, confine space permit and proper use of personal protection equipment. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Compute rate, ration and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Read /follow blue prints, and draw simple schematics. Write maintenance routine reports and correspondence. Install, upgrade and retrofit equipment |
| Qualifications |
| Strong in electrical. Required for new installations and retro fit/upgrade old manufacturing equipment. Strong Mechanical skills. Knowledgeable on various types of hand and power tools. In addition to calibration instruments. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and understanding of power principles. Alteration and repair of plant equipment, systems, machines, tools & facilities. Knowledge of how to handle chemicals, acid hazards and proper techniques for handling materials (MSDS) Must be able to read/follow schematics and blueprints. Must have experience in equipment installs, upgrades and retrofits. Experience of Ohm's Law (Electrical formulas and equations) and NEC (National Electric Code) Great interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Two- years technical trade school/college related to electrical and mechanical trade. High school diploma or GED equivalent and two-year technical trade school/college related to electrical and mechanical trades. 3 years experience in an industrial environment working within a maintenance (electrical/mechanical) department or equivalent. Forklift and PLC Training Certificate Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable Microsoft Applications experience such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift |
